Haven't posted in awhile but Sun and I fished Point Lookout and ran into some snaggedliners. The speck bite was good early and then we found schoolies some bluefish and a small redfish. We couldn't find the Spanish macs...20200718_062104.jpg[/ATTACH]20200718_063330.jpg20200718_061839.jpg

It is typical summertime pattern...two hours of decent fishing...all at dawn...sleep in and miss the bite...and it is not confined to Point Lookout...later this summer, early autumn, the late evening bite will kick in right before dark, but today it is all early, early morning...and Spanish Macks from a kayak is mostly luck...targeting them is like buying a lottery ticket...I got two last year, but I was very lucky and I had a rod rigged and ready, if the opportunity presented itself... like having a seven inch pink Hogy rigged on a 3/4 Oz Big Eye Jighead ready in case you see a big Cobia or bull Red Drum...99.9% of the time it never gets used...but having it ready gives you a shot...Last edited by ronaultmtd; 07-22-2020, 07:51 AM."Lady Luck" 2016 Red Hibiscus Hobie Outback, Lowrance Hook2-7TS
