South River fishing report and WARNING

I was at Quiet Waters this morning between 7 and 830. I caught one medium Perch and had many Croaker bites but I had large hooks on that rod as I didn't want dinks.

WARNING. By 8 o'clock, the water started to smell like a sewer and there was lots of oily mater on it. Visibility was about 8 inches. I'm going to stick to the Severn and main Bay for the immediate future until the water quality in the South River gets better.

Is that from the spill the other week?
Now you know how we feel on the PAX, with our 30 some odd sewage plants

I don't know if it is from the spill up river, the hurricane or the last deluge we had a couple nights ago. Whatever caused it, it sure screwed up the fishing.
