Doug, Big Mike, John Veil and I met up at 7 am today to enjoy a rare calm Late September day on the water...I barely got away from the launch before a frisky 18 inch football striper took down the one paddletail I tossed out...this was an omen of the day...Doug reported a 21.5 striper...Big Mike reported a 15 inch flounder...and John breaks the ice with a school striper...and it is just daybreak...I won't bore you with the details of our enjoyment, but suffice it to say it was a very good day on the water. Glad to see John's long drive from up north paid off for him today...his radio reports of four redfish Brought a smile to my face...and we were all practicing catch and release...these great inshore sport fish are too valuable to only be caught once!
