I fished down in Southern Maryland for the final time this year. It provided me with a banner day. The best fishing that I have had down there in a long time. I do not get to go down there as often as I would like. He is a late video of my day there with John Dillon. Thanks to Ron Ault for encouraging me to give the SMOG area a try.

Great video Moc, always enjoy them. Nice healthy Specks- one of the great things about the Southern Maryland fishery!

Yep, it was a really great year for Specks and a late redfish fishery...since late May, the Specks have provided the SMOG crew "Specktackle" opportunities to catch "gator" trout of 20 (+) inch fish. After a few meals of these tasty fish, 90% or more of our catch was released. The large frisky trout took the pressure off Striped Bass as they would take 'walk the dog' surface lures, paddletails, bucktails, Gulp, and jerk baits...Not saying it was a slam dunk that anyone could score- but once you dialed in your techniques, tackle, lures to the tide cycles in very early morning, late afternoon fishery, it was a blast! Can't wait until next Spring...thanks Moc for giving us a video memory we can watch over and over, reliving the thrill of a big speck on light tackle...

A fun watch. Thank you for taking the time to make and post, much appreciated on a non-fishing day.

Cool video Moc! Where did you get that stringer? I have been looking for something that works with bigger fish.

I got mine from amazon....larger fish tend to roll and twist the chain ones till the lings pop...I haven't had any issues with this one...

here's one from the same outfit that also comes with a lanyard that provides more options to attach to the kayak:
