There's not much to say really. Post cold front and my first time at the Blackwater soft launch. Most of the day was just figuring out new water and how to keep from getting stuck in my Revo. The fishing itself was tough, but somehow I managed to keep the skunk away.
Water level was pretty low at 8am and air temp was also a bit chilly. As the sun got higher things were quickly warming up, but then it dodged behind the cloud cover that would last the rest of the day, keeping things cool. High-tide was some time around 2pm and even then the water level didn't come up much. Water temp was down around the 60degree mark all day.
That's a hard area to work when conditions require slowing down, but it was fun fishing new water. I took along the typical snakehead favorites, but could only manage a few small bass. Along with a few short strikes that's about it. Ill be looking to come back once we get warmer weather.
