On May Day hooked I about 10 hickory Shad(netted 6) in a creek off the Susquehanna. The more water being released from Conowingo the better the bite. Yesterday was below average. Trip #2 There was hardly any water(~12k CFS) and zero bites. I would think that the low flows has an impact on all Species of spawning fish...

Generally, there is a minimal release early on the weekends. It may bump up in the afternoons.
According to the recorded message, they will increase the rate several times today. Any level above 16 feet at the dam means relatively high water.
The fish always bite better as the water starts to flow.
