Friday the 13

Superstition says Friday the 13th is bad luck...hit the Slower Lower with fairly low expectations...fished yesterday with Jeff, Teddy and Andy and had a banner day racking up several redfish and a big bag of White perch filets, so today was just me...no buddies...hit the launch at 5:45. Did not take long before a big cutlass fish ran drag on my light spinning rod. Won't bore you with the details of the next four hours but it was one of my better days on the water. Ended up with four Striped Bass, four Speckled Trout, seven White Perch, one spot, three Redfish, one cutlassfish, and three lizardfish...

Excellent variety and you beat the oppressive heat and superstition too.

That's a good day on the water.

Three different lures- all Zman...most on swimming Trout Tricks...and 3 inch Minnowz on 1/8 oz. deathgrip jigheads...

It never ceases to impress me how versatile and effective paddle tails are. It's like you almost don't even need any other lures.

Enjoyed fishing with you and Mike's company on a windy day after a monsoon rain...definitely affected the fishing...but the old adage of one big fish makes the day...
