I meet two friends up at solley after I dropped the boys off at school. We headed out around 830 and started trolling. I decided to switch to zman today on both rods with two different size jig heads. Not to far into the troll my first hook up a 14" striper. Not a bad start. We kept going and shortly after I started again I saw one rod hit soft right when I thought of grabbing it my other rod doubled over and drag stated going. I get on that fish and get him in. 18" thick guy. Good fight and a lot of fun. As I reel in my other rod I noticed it was actually hooked up. A little 13". A little farther another smaller guy. We trolled be around some more with light hits but no takers. We went into a cove holding a lot of birds but it was a bunch of floating dead bait fish. Looked like maybe small bunker. As we went out I was able to hook into another little guy. We made one last pass on a spot which lead to another chunky 14". 6 fish total and back by 11:20. Oh it rained like 75% of the we time but rather be on my kayak in the be rain then home pretending to get chores done.
