I would like to head out either day this weekend. The weather report for Saturday doesn't look to inviting but the fish are already wet. Am not picky as far as species. Would like to get some more slime on yak.

new2yaks... you can find another post in here where someone was discussing the legality of putting yaks in Lake Roland, I think they received an official email stating that you can launch yaks and canoes into the lake and that the signs onsite are wrong.
As for fishing, definitely trying to get back to some saltwater this weekend, most likely Sunday due to the forecast... Will be my second time out on the bay, so wingin it - maybe Severn, SPSP, Patuxent... look out for wind...troll cranks and jig structure...
Suggestions?

I've not been in the salt much this year. At least not in my kayak. I fished a couple of weeks ago at Ft. Armistead and did very well on nice perch. Caught one keeper striper that day as well. The forecast predicts very light winds but I'm having a hard time believing that since this front is coming through. Will have to wait a day or so to see for sure. I even thought about Mattawoman. Might be able to finesse some bass or worst case, try to get into some big blue cats.2012 Hobie Pro Angler 14

Harbor hospital sounds ok. Short drive too. You been catching stripers? Any size? What time you planning on heading out? I wouldn't mins fishing morning. Supposed to hunt afternoon. Taking advantage of one of the few Sunday hunts this year. Friends are telling me, bucks are out roaming. I'll be in a tree ay sunrise tomorrow morning.2012 Hobie Pro Angler 14

3 Stripers Wednesday, 2 on sunday. All around 18-24 inchers and nice healthy fish but heard some rumors of better being caught and lost. Still trying to get it dialed in. I will probably aim for a morning launch since I want to get back in for the Pats Steelers game at 4:15pm. Wish I had access to private land so I could do the Sunday hunting but its a good excuse to get on the water at least once a week

I checked it out on google maps, looks likes some sweet territory, the structure at the bridge, some points... good current?
As for current, I really haven't tried to time and check the tides, just tend to fish when i have time, but the incoming was really ripping on Sunday. There are defianately some nice drop offs and I saw a pile of bait around one of the old wharfs on sunday. Some interesting things floating around, saw a hypodermic needle in among the other assorted trash the other day but it is close, somewhat protected and there seems to be some nice fish around so whats not to like?

We will see about the huge fish but I will definately be there Hungover probably but I will be there lol. Low tide is supposed to be 04:55 and high 09:38 so an early launch looks like it would be a good idea. Should be light around 0630ish... Preferred launch time?

Call me what you will...hahah, but they are calling for sub freezing weather this weekend going into Sunday... definitely not for the faint of heart..
I might get be gettin cold feet - will need some hot toddys (whiskey / hot tea) or spiked hot apple cider (capt morgans) to calm the nerves if I can't make it out.
