I got the pass to fish Saturday and I'm thinking of hitting the bay bridge or somewhere in the Potomac. I have a flight out the next morning at 6 am so I probably won't go far. Where are you all thinking for this weekend?

      Anyone heading South?

I planned to take one of week days. But I had to work. But I put my assistant to work for this Sat and Sun since I covered him last two weekends.
Dang, I work 300 hours for last two weeks.

if my GTM approves my this weekend off I am fishing Saturday. He will approve because he won't let me quit.
I just picked up a blue Revo from Backyard Boats, Annapolis. I could get a new one ($200 more, 10% off), but I feared my wife because I said "It costs only $500" yester day. And now I have 4 kayaks. Now I have no stash of M.

I am heading south, CBBT or Kipto, If wind is too much for Kipto I will fish Local, BB or in MD water.

Now I am selling T140. I need the space for the Revo.

Sounds good Joe, keep me posted. I have to fly out at 6am Sunday morning but I would make the trip down to CBBT. I think tog should be in strong. It will all depend on the weatherman!

Have any of you guys tried the bridge out of the Patapsco, just south of the hospital? I've heard people pulling them in at night from that bridge? I've launched out of the hospital twice now and have had two good days. That area may just hold a lot of fish and the trick may be to find where the schools are located. Perhaps the best way is troll untill you find them and circle around or stop and start casting. I've done both with success.

                Ew.

Might have to stick with bay bridge. Was really hoping to catch some tog/punch toadfish

Daddyg, Trolling? What were you dragging? Did you fish up the east or west side of the channel?

Chimo, are you fishing the harbor hospital area sunday.... if you are i would like to fish that area as well. I have fished the key bridge a handful of times this season with decent results. if you don't mind let me know what time you plan to launch. jigs, metal spoons, rattle traps sound about right from your experience on that water. PHIL ""bent rods & tight lines always my friend""

YaknBass, I am planning on it with a launch time sometime around daylight. Last time out, trolling rapala deep x-raps was the most effective technique. I did catch a few jigging though and will be prepared to jig spoons / sonars, cast jigheads with flukes / x-raps and troll x-raps / rat'l traps. Would love some live bait but haven't picked up many perch lately for live lining and don't know what else I would use....

Don't people like to use eels this time of year? When I was a kid I fished for Stripers a few times with my dad and grandfather on their friend's boat. We would slow troll while bouncing eels off the bottom with a big sinker. We caught some nice fish over 30...

Hmmm... Does anyone close by actually carry eels though ? I'm not going to go far out of my way looking for them. Maybe I will just pick up some clams or shrimp and see if I can luck into a rock or some decent cats if I decide to anchor in one place long enough to let something hit the bottom. That would be easier to deal with than them slimy buggers anyways

Anglers usually has a fresh supply of the devil serpents. Ask for the biggest liveliest eels they have if you'd like a challenge.

I messed with some last year around some humps in EB, had some run offs, but I didn't connect. I'm going to try again soon.

I think I'm going to hit DE for tog.

Clyde's in Halethorpe usually has them too, but thats probably not very convenient for you either.
