thats the way i make my perch rigs. if you use a dropper loop or 5 turn over hand knot u can cut the loop close to the main line and tie a unsnelled hook or jig to the line. i try to put the loops 1/4 the way from the top and bottom.

martin did you get a chance to try those yellow flies i made? tried 1 at beachwood but nobody was catching anything yesterday
