I am bummed that I didnt know you guys were out there. Ft Washington is just a 15 minute paddle from my house on the VA side of the river. Looks like you guys have my favorite fishing hole figured out like pros. The cats are out there year round and are biting much better on the MD side. Once it warms up and the grass in the river comes up, the largemouth fishing is great in shallows on the VA side. spinnerbaits and topwaters work great for the bass. anything slimey or smelly works great for the cats. Snakeheads also hang out in the shallow grassy VA side. I've never targeted them but I've had them fall off my line a couple of times while using a plastic frog.
