  • Patapsco muddy, 3-2-12

I had to drive to Severna Park today and thought, well heck, I'm in the area, I stop in at the Harbor Hospital to make a few casts from the pier (~11:30am). Dang... it was pretty muddy, water vis maybe 10"-12" if that. Wind was whipping from the south strong enough to make whitecaps. Never even made a cast. The tide was amazingly high too, like at least 1.5' above normal.

On the way home I stopped in Daniels Dam on the Patapsco. River there looked in beautiful shape... a good strong flow and clear.

This might take a few days for this muddy water to settle out and get right.

Thanks for the heads up. I drive 895 every day and the river looked like you described it....high and muddy.
