Big fish- can you imagine having to eat that thing?
Anyway, any really big catfish is anything but beautiful- ugly ass fish, but fun to catch- Reminds me of my sleigh ride early last summer at the Harry Nice bridge that lasted a long time only to straighten out a hook- I never got any of my line back on the Revo until the hook pulled- the way the fish fought and swam, I figured it was a big catfish there, too.

Meant beautiful specimen. Beautiful creature to live that long and get that big. Same as hooking into some big carp. Love big pullage. I would've measured, photos, let it go.

I'll add one of those to my bucket list. That does look like Ft. Washington Marina.

Not only NO, but hell NO- they taste like 30 weight Havoline HD motor Oil- I eat catfish- my favorite eating fish... so I know what tastes good to me- a five pound blue cat is delicious...a ten pounder gets put back in the water...80 pounds? Hell No..I would eat a Menhaden before I'd eat that-

Some interesting info being offered up on the tidalfish thread that i didn't know about. Apparently blue and flathead cats are invasive species, but their high numbers may be helping to control a snakehead invasion (the cats eat the snakehead fry)... interesting.

If they want to control the catfish why do they have a five fish limit on catches?

Now I know. If I catch a big one, it'll go back in the drink.

I would love to have caught that huge fish but think personally, I would have took some measurements and quick photos and released it to grow even bigger. But... that's just me. To each their own.
