My fishing of the flats has primarily been limited to shore fishing as that's pretty much been my primary way to fish. I love to shore fish, especially from the ocean surf.
I do fish from shore quite a bit as I live like 7 minutes from Susquehanna State Park. Now the Kayak is expanding my flats exploration.
I agree that even from shore the flats are a great place to fish. I hit the triple header this past fall from shore (LMB, Stripers, and Smallies) all in one day. good times.
