    I wish I had a lake!

Pretty sweet. I had no idea herring lived in small lakes.

How do you fish the Rapala DT 6 "Baby Bass"... just retrieve? Slow? Fast?

In the fall and summer I just retrieve at a steady reel.

Now I use both a slower retrieve and a slow/pause retrieve.

For me it's all about the cast. Putting it in the structure or almost on the back.

I think your "herring" might have been a golden shiner, which is probably more likely for a lake setting. Golden shiner are good bait for just about any big fresh water predator fish. I need to get down to fish with you on your lake one of these days...

Yeah I really had no idea what it was, I kinda just guessed. Sounds good either way, another pattern to exploit!!

Next weekend I'm down to fish my lake or wherever else, maybe we can get our KW team all together to fish somewhere...

"Golden Shiner" sounds a hell of a lot better than "herring" anyway

You got gold in your lake.

                  Matt,
I've caught two of those this year down here in Salisbury on the lake I live on. Snagged one with a mepp spinner and the other one ate a minnow.
