Don't you need to use barbless hooks when trolling?? Possibly when jogging too? Checking regs now.

      No eels
      No stinger hooks
      Barbless hooks when trolling
Circle hooks or J hooks (less than 1/2") when using bait
6 lines or less when trolling, regardless of the number of people on board

Thinking about going tomorrow. Can I just file down the barbs on my hooks for trolling? And did you launch at SPSP or the east side?

Beautiful stripers. I hope to catch some nice sized stripers from my yak this year. I've caught them up to 42" but trolling on a boat. Would love one over 36" from my yak. Don't get many days when the Bay looks like that. SWEET!!!

Wow! If that's a story for the bored, I must be REALLY BORED. I like the picture with dinner---oh, oops--that fat one face left. Love those photos.

What do you think you had when you couldn't get that rod out of the holder?

i just bend them down with pliers but you can file them down. i launch from both sides, today was east.

only 2 rods. i try to vary the depths, one shallow, one deep, but switch it up depending on where i'm marking fish or catching. these were caught within 10 feet of the surface.

of course i'm going to think it was a world record rockfish, like most fishermen, the one that gets away is always the biggest. lol

                      Fantastic

                      That's a pig. Great job.

I pitched bloods from the sand at the point from 6:30 Am until 4:30 PM today. I was wondering if any of our army was out it that Erie fog this morning. Did the constant fog horn at the bridge drive you nuts? It was loud 2 miles away at the beach.

                            Very nice!!

I was there from 1 - 8 today (Sunday). Couldn't jig up a rock to save my life, but eventually got 3 trolling an xrap. 20", 19" and 22". Like yours they really didn't want to surface. All fish were fat, heavy and strong.

                            Awesome flat bay.

i though you need to pinch down all barbs when pre season striper fishing

Congrats on the good fishing after a rough first day back on the water. When you guys troll, are you going through the bridge or above or below the bridge? I dont have much experience with trolling, usually when I try it, it seems like I'm just peddling around randomly...
