  • De-skunked

The third time on the water with my kayak and finally started catching some fish. I went to Algonkyan Park on the Potomac yesterday. I caught a nice catfish first then a small SMB. Still learning the picture taking part with my cell phone. I also almost caught a nice SMB. It was about 16” but got off when I was trying to get it out of the water. I was using night crawlers and shrimp plus all kinds of crank bates, caught everything on the crawlers.

The water was 3 - 4‘ deep in most places and the current was strong. I tied off the stern to an overhanging tree near an island and was able to turn the kayak by using the rudder.

Nice. I was fortunate enough to drive 3.5hrs one way yesterday to Kipto to catch a big fat skunk.
