I did send in and got the permit for Mayo, 40 bucks, got a sticker and the cobination to the lock. Went by yesterday and shore fished, nothing. I noticed an inlet/creek and while the tide was moving, pushed this little creek pretty fast. Dropped in a line and lurer was hit by some large minows, lots of them. I am thinking a good place to set a minow trap for 20 minutes before launching off the shore if you like fishing with minows.

I did drive back to the Beverly Triton beach entranch. The sign said it was a privately maintained beach by the community and what stopped me from walking in past the gate was it stated you needed an entry permit to enter, i opted not to walk in.

      mayo/triton

a windsurf buddy told me them and the kiters were using triton last year during renovations at mayo. he said there was charge for the permit, but unlike mayo - legal parking was limited to only 4 or 5 cars.

i notice JAVeil's link has the telephone number to call for permit, but did not mention the charge.
