I had a lot of fun hanging out with everyone at the SFKFJ but I caught zip. It's all Rockfish's fault (Maker's Mark does NOT make a good follow up when you run out of Flying Dog no matter what you might think ), I couldn't function on Saturday morning. I was moving so slowly I didn't get on the water until 10:00. I paddled around 8 miles and threw everything I had but I had missed the bite. I had one nice short strike at the side of the boat but that was as close as I got.

Sat. wasn't as good to me as Sunday, The only fish I caught on Saturday was a Large Mouth up near Perrysville launch.
Rob (Archeryrob), Dave (Turtle135), and I decided to pack up camp Sunday and then head out for one last venture. The water was smooth as glass, we paddled out of Havre De Grace today thru the boating channel and located a school near the edge of the chanel. Rob was throwing a Bomber rattle trap and catching a few. I asked to borrow it and caucht my first striper. He then switched to a Bomber topwater lure and started to catch one one every cast. I tied on a Bomber B15A in baby striper and the game was on. here are a few of the fish we caught on Sunday.
Here is a picture of a barge heading out that past me with in 100 yards.
A picture of Dave (Turtle135) heading out.
All said and done I had a great time for the first time in the bay on a kayak and first time fishing for striper. I got an invite to join a friend this weekend for the trophy sesason near the bay bridge on his boat.... I think I'm hooked

It is a nice set up with a concrete ramp. We unloaded our yaks and gear at the top of the ramp and then moved our vehicles to the parking area about 75 yards away. The road in front of the ramp is only a one lane road so you do not want to block it for long. The road in to the park has a lot of one way travel so pay attention to the arrows on the pavement.
