Today I caugh about a dozen perch on bloodworms and one 12 inch striper on cut perch. I also saw multiple strippers surface feeding aggressively so I threw out a top water that has one fish swirl at it then I snagged a needlefish it was weird,I didn't know they were here this early. Sry for no pics again but I can't download them on my iPad I will when I get my laptop

congrats on the needlefish. i wanted to get one for the aquarium last summer but despite seeing a lot of them throughout the summer, i never managed to put togehter being ready and seeing them at the same time. i did manage to cast at a couple but they did not seem interested.

Needelfish are kind of interesting to go after. Last year in Weems creek, I must have seen atleast a dozen and the biggest was probably close to 18 inches. I used gulp alive minnows on a light roadrunner jighead and sight-casted to them and they would nail the lure. They were kind of hard to hook though I guess because of their wierd mouth.

If you take a sock a cut a 5 by .5 inch piece and clip it to a swivel the put a .5 ounce egg sinker in front of the swivel ad cast in the summer you will catch them all day long.theyre teeth get snagged on it when the bite it,you use no hook
