      Correct, the main thing is you have to remain within the main stem of the river, and cannot fish in any of the creeks on the Maryland side as those are all closed. You can also legally catch and release striped bass when DC and Virginia waters.

        Thanks Dave and Cliff. I probably will not target stripers in April...I just wanted to know what PFRC meant. It makes sense now, but I will fish for stripers quite a bit this year....no need for me to be impatient. Tomorrow is the day I am going to set up for the season. Hoping to get on the water soon.
