Kayak Crabbing 06-19-2023

Hi all, I decided to go kayak crabbing for my birthday (at least a day before my birthday) since I had the day off for the federal holiday. I was able to bushel out before 10am with my 600 foot trotline. I ended catching most of the crabs in 4-6 feet of water on the Eastern side of the Bay Bridge. These crabs were big. For the last few weeks the quality crabs were fantastic. I have noticed a slight switch over to slightly less percentage of big crabs, but there are still enough of them to make me say "Wow".

The wife is running 10 traps off her kayak, did ok in 3-4' last week (Pax river).
She is going back out Monday.
