Kayak has been on stands in my basement since fall of last year. I rigged a trolling motor to it and now I have to get it registered. Decided to take it out this morning by my house just to get some fresh air and exercise. Been seeing a lot of bird activity in a certain area so I wanted to do some trolling, and bottom fishing for whatever in that area. Trolling produced nothing but bottom fishing with fresh scooped grass shrimp caught plenty of almost legal red drum. Also alot of small croaker and spot mixed in. A boat pulled up next to me and I watched the two young boys bail red drum and what looked like flounder.I enjoyed watching and listening to them. Got back to ramp at 930 and a very nice guy had two coolers of snakeheads and a big blue catfish. He gifted me a snakehead and the blue cat. Definitely made all that paddling worth it. Was a beautiful morning.
