Surf and turf. Challenging conditions today for sure. Expected a steady north wind, it turned westerly and was a solid +10mph. Launched at high tide, fished up until a little before sunset. White caps and the wind contributed to poor picture quality. Perseverance and dedication (aka being crazy and foolhardy fishermen) got us on the fish today. I managed a nice 18" speckled trout, some rockfish up to 17", and a 10" perch. One buddy got several small speckled trout and a puppy drum. My other buddy got some schoolie rock, a perch, a puppy drum, and a 16" speckled trout. Super bonus was the Laetiporus cincinnatus found at the launch. Harvesting it tomorrow. Tl, dr: Lower Potomac is still holding nice speckled trout and reds. 20231015_165912.jpg
