Finally got a big one (36 inch rockfish). Missed multiple other large fish. Great way to end catch and release. Landed multiple mid-20 rocks with only one under 20 inches. Hope they are still around on 16 May when the flat opens back up.

On 16 May the flats re-opens. Can keep one fish 18-26 inches (inclusive) until 2 June when the entire bay is open season. This size limit is designed to allow anglers to keep one fish that is consider a local fish. The larger fish are consider the spawning females that head back down the bay.
