good job! i like way snapper looks like he's kind of hanging round - like 'where'd it go?'. there's a KI restarant that has a 4' snapper shell on display. i'd like to see one of those in the wild.

Sweet! i've caught snapping turtles on a fishing rod in the past when using nightcrawlers for trout in streams. They are usually not very happy. I've even had one try to steal trout off of my stringer, sometimes they are pretty brazen...Comment

Btw, according to page 6 of the DNR Fishing Guidebook:
In short, you have to catch it with your hands, feet or teeth.It is illegal:
16. For a person to catch snapping turtles from waters of the State by hook and line, trotline, bow and arrow, net, seine, fishpot, or other fishing rig, spear, gig or iron or any device capable of piercing any part of the turtle at any time.Comment
