hey everyone sorry this is a late report but i was at my mom and i couldn't post this without posting pictures because its to cool. i was longboarding and rode to the community pier and a neighbor had been fishing and had a cooler full of perch and HE HAD ONE SPOT. i almost died when i saw it because i thought spot dont show up until beggining of june. he caught it with bloodworms . he had caught a few small croaker . after i talked to him i went home and got my stuff and fished and caught perch and small rockfish. i caught no spot or croaker. i did however catch tons of small menhaeden and bay anchovies in my cast net,they were all about 1 inch long. i was suprised to see them this early also. i caught 1 6 inch croaker in my cast net to. the big croaker should be here but i dont know why i didnt catch any ?

It is good to hear that the summer bottom fish are showing up early. I plan to spend some time bottom fishing at the M&G Sat morning. Who knows what will show up.John Veil
