Good carp pullage

[Yak Fish]

I make a dough bait for them and have always caught fish, but you must be patient.

2C cornmeal
1C flour
1T vanilla extract
1/2 package jello mix (I like strawberry)
16oz water

Boil water adding jello mix and vanilla. Stir in cornmeal/flour mixture and combine well. It will seem dry until it's all mixed in, but will turn into a play doh like mixture. Refrigerate overnight. You'll get both carp and catfish on the bait.

Once on the line, they are fighters. I think it's the strongest fighter in the upper bay, and that's not just because they are big. Even for their size they are strong.

it used to be a regular custom to feed them bread at the loch raven dam. there would be dozens of big ones waiting to mooch it right off the surface all thru summer.

i like the regular recipes with stuff from the cupboard and have seen corn cans lying on the shore sometimes. but reading stuff from UK makes you wonder if theyt have SUPER formulae or something.
