Winds were 10-15 knots and NOAA 2ft waves; I rocked several series of waves well above that as cargo ship and cruise ships passed by. I wish I had thought to take a video during the 2 hour period when the wind was the worst as it let up as the evening went on.....
I only saw one other person out fishing the pilings during the 4 hours I was out. Launched from SPSP and fished the pilings almost out to the first cable anchoring.
Hooked one fish but jig came back with nothing but scales!
Later hooked a nice fish, not huge but it really tasted good tonight..... 25 1/2".
I tried to cast and jig with a 1 1/2 oz hair jig (yellow/white) with BKD 6" (yellow). I quickly switched to a 2 oz and would have went heavier if I had it. Due to the wind and waves I resorted to verticle jigging and hooked my fish.
