yesterday we went on a friends charter boat and caught 3 fish, a 12 inch,17inch and a 21.5 inch rockfish(21.5 in the first picture) all fish were caught on strombrellas with 12 to 24 ounce weights in 20 - 50 feet of water...also one of his friends caught a 17 pound tog at stone rock while blackdrum fishing . the current state record is 9 pounds(chesapeake bay division) so it was a state record, but the fish was released unharmed.
today me and my dad went on our boat and trolled in between west river and thomas point. i let out a bucktail/17tony spoon tandem back 17 feet with a 4 ounce weight then i let out a stormbrellas and i was letting out a third line and a fish hit the spoon tandem HARD. i reeled in in after a short fight and it was a nice 24.5 inch stripers. that was the only fish of the day. it was super windy and we only trolled for 2 hours.. todays fish is the second picture
