Bay Bridge 5/20/12

Put in about 6pm Sunday at G dock. My stepson anchored by the second piling out and bottom fished using blood worms. He caught 7-10 small rockfish, the largest was 10 inches. I trolled back and forth under the bridges in shallow water, 2nd to 6th piling out. Caught 23 rockfish and snagged a skate in 2 hrs of fishing. No keepers. The rockfish ranged between 13 and 17 inches. It was rare that I would pass by a piling without catching a fish. I had 2 fish on at a time twice. I was using a tony 15 and a rattle trap. What a great time, we both had a lot of fun. Might go back out 5/23 in a little deeper water and hopefully get some bigger fish.

Nice! Thanks for the report. Did you catch the fish equally on both lures?

Caught 2/3 of the fish on the tony. No weight, just trolling the lures.
