  • 6/17 bay bridge out of spsp

Launched today just before noon and the bite was pretty good on the south span. Fished the pilings that are in sets of 4 from #14 to the rock pile. First fish wrapped me bad around a piling and I thought I was going to lose it but I managed to swing him around and I had a nice 24" in the box. The rest of the fish I caught were between 15 and 17 but lots of fun.

Nice going! Lots of meat in a 24... I only caught tiny ones under 11" yesterday, but on the east side. Trolled the west side with no success, and briefly jigged the first rockpile with no success. Oh well...

I bet the weather was really nice out there today. It was nice yesterday too, albeit a bit choppy.

It was nice overall but a bit choppy for sure. I did stay dry and the wind/current made for easy fishing. Forgot to mention that bucktails with a 4" grub was the ticket.
