I finally fished Jonas Green this morning. I launched a little after 7am. Had no clue where to even start as it aw my first time there. I started sighing the shore to the right of the launch and it didn't take long to get into some perch. I used chartreuse bodies on a spinner. The tide was really running out at first. The fish were feeding heavily. I was hooking a perch at least every few casts. There were plenty of small fish there but also plenty of 9-11" fish. I brought home 10 fat ones for some dinner. I am guessing but between launching around 7 and 10 am I probably caught about 40 fish. I also caught one tiny 4-5" croaker and 2 stripers about 8". There were huge schools of baitfish on the surface all over the river. I fished up,almost to the Severn river bridge and couldn't believe how much "boiling" schools I saw. I couldn't by a bite while casting into the bait. Overall a very nice day out for my first time fishing the Severn. Can't wait to try again, maybe this weekend.

Nice work and report can't wait to give it a try saturday with my wife! Last summer I ran into some of those boiling fish on the Severn. Earlier in the summer it seemed the boiling fish were mainly just baitfish going berserk, but later in the summer I ran into some large schools of 12-15 inch bluefish and stripers. You could catch fish on every cast simply by casting into them and winding back as fast as possible. Good times...
