Finally got a chance to get overboard, and planned to chase some reds and trout.
It's been close to 20 years since I paddled this creek, and although I remembered how nice it was to be there, I forgot how looong of a paddle it was to the mouth, and to where the fish should be.
I put over in the headwaters at about 3pm, and by 5:30, I still had a ways to go, and with no lights or desire to navigate in the dark, I turned back...
This is going to have to be a morning trip.
But I did stop along the way and take a few shots with my phone from the ladder of a sika stand.
It was a nice trip regardless of not fishing, as once out there, the birds were the only sounds.
