  • Jonas Green - Sunday 8/12/12

Fished Jonas green with a good friend from 11 am to 5 pm worked the point all the way down to the mouth of weems creek. Caught over a hundred perch between the two of us biggest being 12.5.. Still no cigar but a good day fishing. Only kept fish over 10" with 45 keepers.

Also got into a school of breakers at the mouth of weems creek and managed 20 rockfish/blues a peice in the 8-10" size range.. Lots of fun.

Also trolled up two 12-14" rockfish on the way back on clark spoons.

There was tons of baitfish around.. Huge schools of peanut menhaden and lots of silversides.

Good day to be on the water. Saw two other people fishing with tricked out Ocean Kayaks did not catch any names.

I found that school on Sat morning in the same general location. It was my first breakers sighting in the Severn this year.

Gotta love days of non-stop catching. Big perch is a nice bonus. I'm still hoping for a citation perch this year.
