Got out on the water by 7.15 am. We were at our fishing hot spot from last week by 7.30. The tide was going out nicely but the bite was slow. We managed only a couple keeper white perch and a small striper. So we moved to another spot in deeper water (18 ft.)We fished for several hours catching over 20 perch between 10 and 12 inches. Also several stripers between 12 and 14 inches. And a huge cat fish of approx. 10lb..

Is that east of Baltimore in the bay? What kind of catfish was it?

I think Chanel cats are the only ones found in water as brackish as the bay.

Blue Catfish are also found in the bay and many tributaries now. I have caught blue catfish to 30 lbs in the Potomac & the Rappohannock near the bay.
