WOW!!! Awesome Perch!! Make sure you get you citation for that one. It would also take the lead for largest White Perch on the forum... as long as it was caught on a Kayak/SUP/or Canoe right?

What kind of lures were you using?

we were in a 17 whaler so i cant take that distinction, already took it to anglers for citation. Jigging hard bottom, all metals, 1/2oz to 1 1/2oz they were hitting them all. The ususal colors did well. chrome, chartruese, white, red. FF was blown up all night, schoolie breakers, lots of birds. Not sure it mattered what we put in the water as long as it had hooks.

well no matter what you caught it from - real nice perch. Congratulations and thanks for posting!

fwiw - my daughter lost a nice one this summer just before i could get the leader. broke both our hearts because it was noticeably larger than the 12 1/2" she had just released.

but the biggest one i ever saw in real life was inches longer than my shoe. me and the owner didn't have a measure. so i conservatively estimated as 15". it was later measured and photo'd at Marty's, 16 1/2" as i understand. but it was caught by commercial netter.

i believe there are some nice ones out there! i'm a fan and i'm always interested in trying for a nice perch.

That's a beast! nice fish. Im convinced that the Severn holds the largest perch in the bay, caught my 13" there last year.

Wow that is a nice perch. Don't have a fishfinder on the yak, but I have definitely done well in the severn when I could find some rocky/shell bottom to bounce a jig over. Seem to be a better quality fish hanging around those areas too.
