I rushed home from work this afternoon as I knew a front was approaching and hoped to find some feeding fish. I launched from HH as I thought I'd be protected somewhat from the wind but I was wrong. Anyway, I took my boat as I wanted to cover some ground and see if I could find some fish quickly. I started marking fish quickly and some were obviously much bigger on my FF than others. I stayed marking nice schools of fish but I only managed one keeper at 26". I hooked up with another fish at the same time but was unable to get both rods at the same time. It was very frustrtating trolling through nice schools of fish and only catching one nice fish. I am happy I caught my first keeper of the year but was thinking I should've been able to land a few more. The marks were anywhere from 9-18' of water. I caught my keeper on a 1oz. leadhead with a shad body in pearl. My other hook up came on a surgical hose with in-line weight. Very frustrating to say the least.

Congrats! A 26-incher is a nice fish. I still haven't beaten that as a personal best. Rather than being frustrating, think of it as a learning experience with a nice bit of positive reinforcement. If it makes you feel better, I am seldom able to troll two lines successfully.Yellow Hobie Revo Rube Goldberg

One 26" fish is better than none. Thats a pretty nice rock. If you need help keeping track of two lines next time on the boat let me know...
