I have been jones'in to get out somewhere and get some pullage for the past couple of weeks... I really wanted to go try topwater at the sewer near the BB, but I didn't have the time. So I decided to join Metroman and Foursteps24 this morning on the Severn before I came into work. They were crabbin', I wanted to catch some SAMwiches! LOL I launched around 615 from Jonas Green and proceeded to my super duper secret spot right in front of the fishing pier and bridge to jig my Specialized Baits Lil Bunka' spoon and teaser combo over the downed portion of the old bridge. It was slow in the morning, it was slackish tide and my bites were minimal. I did manage a toad fish... smh. I saw Metroman launching so I went to meet him at the beach with the slow bite and to tie on a BKD to try for some Stripers. I went back and the water was FULL of pods of fish. I mean it looked like clouds on my FF. Every cast I was catching nice WP and undersized Rockfish. The WP were mostly in the fryable category with a few small ones mixed in between. The Rockfish proabaly at best were no bigger than 12". I tried the BKD and couldn't buy a bite so I stuck with my spoon/teaser combo. All in all a good morning, I had to get to work by 10:00 so I was off the water at 8:45 and left em biting. Here are a couple of the nicer WP I caught. Not citations but still good sizes. I really need to get a Hawg Trough.
