That's a pretty solid catch rate. Looks like there are some nice fish in there, too. How long were the fish in the 5th and 6th pics. The first two pics are pretty sweet as well.

        Thanks Bill.

We parked our vehicles at 6:30AM and it was right around 6:50 AM by the time we got our kayaks down the canal towpath a bit and dragged our gear through the woods. It was a beautiful day and the river conditions were perfect. The sunrise was so fantastic and the sky so clear I had to snap a few photos.

My longest fish was 14+ inches. It might have been 15 at most. I held it up to the ruler sticker on the side of my kayak, but didn't do a careful measurement. The really fat fish was only 13 inches long or so and he was really beginning to pork out. It was good to see so many fish in the 12-14 inch range.

        Here's a few more photos.

Nice day! Can I ask where you launch from? I want to explore the river n my yak, but I am unsure of the most ideal stretches to try alone. Any insight would be appreciated.
