I fished this morning with dsiekman from his community beach. We didn't hit the water until 09:00. The water was flat calm with no wind to start. We hit a few spots with nothing to show and then headed to an area on the Crownsville side of the river. I was able to pick up a 14" red and a 15+" rockfish along with a few perch. The fish were in there thick on the ff but were on the move. I lost them after about 30mins. A 4" Gulp mullet worked today.
There were many pods of bait on the surface but I couldn't get a bite from any of the ones I cast to. Thanks again Doug. It is always fun exploring new waters.

Hey Ed, great fishing with you today. Sorry about the slow action. I couldn't stand the poor outcome so I headed back out about 5:30. Scored a solid 19" rock in the first spot we hit this morning. Polar Rock was down at the pier and got a shot of him. Actually, it was pretty funny. Here I am, trying to untangle myself - the fish managed to tangle himself, me, and various parts of the yak in my other line on the way in - and out of the blue I hear, "way to go, Doug!". I respond to no one in particular, "Thanks!". Turns out Polar had come down to the beach (probably a quarter mile away) with his dog and saw me get hooked up. Much better way to end the day!
