Severn River 10/18/12

Launched out of Jonas this morning with mytmouse. We headed up river to explore some structure up there. Plenty of marks, not a lot of production there. Mytmouse caught a couple perch there. Since time was of the essence, we headed back down river to an often-reliable spot for us. Mytmouse caught a couple more perch there. A short while later, I saw him get bowed up. I assumed he was snagged...until I saw the shaking of the rod, and the line moving from one side to the other. It was exciting to see. It turned out to be a beautiful 20.5" striper!!

While he had all the action, I got the big goose egg! SKUNK. Dah well!! Fun morning on the water. The winds picked up and it started to get choppy as the morning progressed.

My first keeper Rock off the yak! It was a great fight on my light tackle. I swear that spoon & Fly combo is the best lure I have used for WP! You didn't get all the way skunked Metroman, you did pull up that oyster!

That is a very healthy looking fall Striper! I'd like to get out there on the Severn again, but I might just try to earn some more points for another trip down south in a few weeks. When are you guys going?
