Got on the water around 10:30am and met up with my friend who went out early in the morning before I arrived. He had told me that no one was getting any bites all morning long but we decided to try the East bound bridge anyways. After a hour or so I gave up and decided to head to deeper waters hoping that's where they were holding.
Sure enough, in 40-50ft of water, I found a piling that was holding a few. The first one took took my spot and I barely felt him. I thought I had snagged since it already had happened me on the first drift. He turned out to be barely 18" so I left him go and for my good deeds, I dropped my freaking check-it stick. Hooked another and lost him when the line to the hook came off. MF!!! Re-baited and this time managed to hook a 22" and I made a note to peddle away from the piling because I wasn't going to go 0-3! After that, there were no bites left and I was tired so I went back in.
