  • Bay Bridge 10-20-12

Launched from the G Dock with Foursteps yesterday morning. It was a very weak tide when we launched, which shortly turned into a completely slack tide. We worked the bridge without much action to show for it. We then went to the spot where I had action from the dinks the on the day before. We found the same constant action from small stripers and white perch. Within about 15 minutes of catching babies, we had about 4 boats around us. We got a good laugh out of that...they came from nowhere. Foursteps got a few nice 10" white perch. I got a couple as well, with one pushing 12". It was one of the fattest white perch I've seen in a while.

good day out on the water. My third day in a row. My wife has a new pair of shoes en route...

My mouth is watering looking at that fat perch. Where would we be without fat white perch to catch when the trophies and keeper stripers are nowhere to be found?

Yeah none of the perch we caught were dark like Severn perch. I've seen fat perch before, but this one is/was shaped like a hybrid striper, sans stripes
