Just a quick Severn update. This afternoon I fished in two tributaries that both held lots of fish last winter. Today the bite was very slow. 3 pickerel in one trib and 2 more in the second -- 4 caught on Gulp, 1 on a Strike King microking spinnerbait. I am about ready to switch to minnows after Thanksgiving and see if the bite picks up.
One good thing was that the brisk wind that has been blowing for the past few days was gone. The river was nearly glassy. I enjoyed paddling without having the wind and waves pushing the bow one direction or another.
