  • Mariners Point Joppatown MD 12/14

I launched at Mariners Point park today around 10:30 and paddled out to the railroad bridge only to find 2 tiny Yellow Perch. I then proceeded to paddle up the creek behind the park and work the docks. They were loaded with small fish but I could not find any keeper Yellow Perch or Crappie. I did manage to find a nice healthy 15" Largemouth and a dink Striper. A fun day of catching, but I'm still looking for my first taste of some crappie

A hint on the crappie in that area, find the quarry and fish around the island. Also in Columbia, lake cenntennial has good numbers and size of crappie. 10-14" range.

Thanks for the tip, I think the Quarry will be my next crappie attempt.
