  • Nice article from Chris Dollar in Sunday's Capital/Gazette

Many of you may recognize the young man in the photo. The article also mentions this site. I may be tempted yet to do a little pickeral hunting, cold water or not!

    Nice job Andrew, http://www.capitalgazette.com/sports...ea3300cd3.html

I suspect I am the unnamed kayak angler that Chris describes in his first paragraph. I remember standing in his shop in mid-November and having that conversation.

I think the South River and Blackwalnut Creek pickerel populations had better brace themselves for Andrew next year. Once he gets more on-water mobility, he will work those fish hard. (please be gentle in how you handle them and release them).

Does anyone know if Chris Dollar is the son of Dr. James Dollar who taught at AACC and Severn School years ago? By the way, where is Chris's shop?

          Steve -

Chris is an entrepreneur with various business interests. He has a guiding service http://cdollaroutdoors.com/ , is an outdoor writer, and runs Island Bike and Paddle on the eastern side of Kent Narrows.

Thanks John. I'll have to stop in to island bike and paddle at some point. I remember going to Dr. Dollar's house in Arundel Beach in about 1973 or '74 but I forget why. They were an interesting family, I think they had 5 or 6 boys. It's probably the same clan.
