  • First fish of 2013!

Fished an upper bay trib this afternoon for about an hour and caught 9 yellow perch. Biggest one was 9 1/2" but the rest were very small.
    Good start to the year!

Nice job Ryan. I went out for a short time this afternoon to the same location where I had caught the prize-winning white perch last Jan 1. Today I found no perch, but did get 4 pickerel for my first of the year.

Got out today as well. Caught one largemouth to avoid the skunk.

So the big ones havent come in yet for their spawning run. I guess that'll be another month or so.

I am looking forward to the spring put and take trout season- catching (and eating) brown and rainbow trout- delicious! I caught ten last spring on (two fishing trips)- they fight pretty good on UL spinning gear-
