For 70 miles out I would be disappointed if you weren't catching like that! Those should last you a few months at least.

If you get the chance, take a black sea bass trip on the Morning Star out of ocean city. (Current regs have the sea bass season extremely limited for MD though)

How long are those trips for the Morning Star? 12 Hrs? 16 Hrs?

It depends. When they were regularly scheduled (prior to the Feds altering the open season), every few days they'd run a "long" trip that was a few hrs more than the regular trip, for $125. Bout a 2.5hr ride from the marina.

Thanks a lot. I was happy to start the year off with a citation fish. So far, I have kept up with catching a fish every month. I plan to continue that trend throughout 2013.

                    Moc,
I have the lat/long of where we fished. It looks like it's about 70-80 northeast of Rudee Inlet. Did your boat go northeast? If so, we may have been a couple stone's throw away from each other. Somehow you guys attracted the huge papas and we got the mamas. I do recall surfdog saying you have some kind magnetism.

Very nice. We have never specifically targeted sea bass, but at the end of every offshore day, we always get the red rosies and usually some goldens.
